xDrive

xDrive was built to offer you full access to your iPhones filesystem wherever you are. Based on the samba server, xDrive does not require you to install any clientside software to be able to connect to your iPhone from another machine as the samba server allows you to see your device as a network drive on your from other devices. It is as simple as starting xDrive on your iPhone, and using the provided wireless lan address to connect to it from whichever device you like, wherever and whenever you like to. You can then simply copy / edit / delete files on your iPhone by accessing it just like another computer over your network.

No matter if you want to access your iPhones filesystem wherever you are, or simply want to turn your iPhone into an external harddrive to carry those personal data around without having to worry about iTunes on each device you want to access your data from, xDrive is just the way to go!

xDrive provides you with 2 username / password combinations to connect to your iPhone. You can either use the "root" or "mobile" user to connect to your iPhone once xDrive is up and running. Those two users DO NOT EQUAL the iPhones root / mobile user and it is therefor not only save but also recommend for you to change their passwords from within the xDrive application. You can do so at all times by going to the "settings" tab. Up on first install of xDrive both, the root and the mobile user, will have their password set to "xdrive".

xDrive comes with a lot of predefined shares pointing to usefull directories on your iPhone. You can add / edit / delete your shares at all times by going to the shares tab. Be aware to NOT use the root users write access unless you REALLY KNOW what you're doing!!!
